Ptosis surgery, also known as eyelid lift surgery for drooping eyelids, is a specialised procedure designed to correct sagging of the upper eyelid caused by weakened or stretched muscles responsible for lifting the lid. This condition, known as ptosis, can be present from birth or develop gradually with age, injury, or long-term contact lens wear, often resulting in a tired appearance and, in some cases, impaired vision.

Through precise surgical techniques, ptosis repair strengthens or shortens the levator muscle, allowing the eyelid to open properly and sit at a more natural, symmetrical height. The procedure not only restores visual function but also enhances the overall appearance of the eyes, creating a more alert and youthful look.
