Joanne McDonald
FOUNDER OF BEYOND BEAUTIFUL WELLNESS CLINIC AND CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Joanne, our Clinical Director and CQC Manager, has worked in the NHS since 1998, beginning as a healthcare assistant before starting nurse training in 2004. With a background in emergency care, cardiology research, and experience as a specialist nurse, she transitioned into aesthetics in 2012. In 2017, Joanne completed her master's level qualification in independent nurse prescribing and left the NHS to focus full-time on her aesthetics business. After purchasing a small clinic in 2015, she met her business partner, Rachel Lugo, from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, while working at Skulpt. In 2023, Joanne sold her clinic to expand into a larger wellness clinic, where she now manages the medical side, while Rachel oversees the business operations as they build a larger brand together.
Mr. Baba
MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND OCULOPLASTIC SURGEON
With over a decade of experience, Mr Mohamad Baba is a highly trained oculoplastic surgeon specialising in both aesthetic eyelid rejuvenation and complex reconstructive eyelid surgery.
Having completed his ophthalmology training in Liverpool, he undertook a prestigious fellowship in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery, further honing his skills in delicate periocular procedures. His training has equipped him with the precision required for surgery around the eyes, an area where both function and aesthetics must be preserved.
Mr Baba is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), and the British OculoPlastic Surgery Society (BOPSS). He is also a proud member of the British Medical Association (BMA) and the Aesthetic Complications Expert (ACE) group, reflecting his commitment to safe and evidence-based practice.
In his NHS role, Mr Baba regularly manages complex oculoplastic cases and works closely with multidisciplinary teams. He has performed hundreds of successful surgical procedures, always with a focus on precision, safety, and patient satisfaction. Alongside his NHS work, he has built a strong reputation in the field of medical aesthetics, with over 10 years of experience delivering safe, effective, and natural-looking results for his patients.

Rachel Lugo, from The Real Housewives of Cheshire, is the co-owner and Business Director of our clinic. Since joining us in 2023, Rachel has taken charge of the business side of operations, bringing her expertise, creativity, and dedication to drive the clinic's growth. Her influence has been transformative, helping shape the success of the clinic while enhancing the overall experience we offer. Rachel is also the owner of Lugo Loves.
